I want to host my own website from my home. so i need to build a webserver right? but how pls tell me.

You will need to do the following to host your website from your home:

1. Get a Broadband connection with Public Static IP address. (Static IP given by ISP is not enough. It must be public IP)

2. Setup a Web server. Either IIS on Windows or Apache on Linux.

3. Host your website by setting up appropriate Virtual directory.

4. Use a Service like Dynamic DNS to make sure your Domain name resolves to your Static IP (Provided by your ISP)

use apache for window go to apache.org you dont need to build one of your own..

Or if you want to load your website in your computer, so that you can only access it, you have to install IIS in your computer

Other Replys:Depends on what system you are using. The fastest way is to install IIS service pack, if you have windows server version. OS X is very easy, you just have to turn it on.
