4. Have you ever heard of such a sweepstake from any other source? I doubt it, so it%26#039;s probably a scam.

5. Does the email invite you to view the official websites for either Microsoft or AOL to see further information on the supposed sweepstake? No, so it%26#039;s probably a scam.

Let%26#039;s face it, it%26#039;s a scam. And a bad one at that.

Other Replys:Unless you entered a sweepstakes it is a scam. Microsoft, nor any other company, enter random people into sweepstakes. You must always enter in some fashion, be it electronically, or by purchasing a ticket, or by writing down your name, address and phone number and sliding it into a box collecting entries.

If it sounds too good to be true, and you didn%26#039;t enter any sweepstakes, then you can be sure it is a hoax at best, and a method to steal your personal information or rob you of any money you send to pay for the %26quot;taxes%26quot; %26quot;associated%26quot; with your *winnings*.

You would be amazed how many people actually fall for these hoaxes, and who get parted with their money instead of %26quot;winning%26quot; any money!
